* Conservatories and Solariums typically have glass or lexan roofs and require special ventilation to ensure the owners comfort. A Conservatory and Solarium are more expensive to construct due to the special requirements.
** Most Room additions do not qualify for the Sunroom designation because they typically do not have enough window area. Windows required to achieve Sunroom quality are custom made because they are usually larger than what is available to most builders.
*** Screen rooms, Screened decks, Screened patios all have limted use due to the amount of exposure to natural elements of heat and cold. Newly constructed Screen rooms can be built to receive Sunroom windows at a later date. Many existing Screen rooms can be converted to avhieve Sunroom quality.
